God’s desire for your life
Maybe you never considered that God has a great desire for your life,
just like the desire He has for the people of Querétaro. If we could
live forever and have a perfect life we would have no need for God. But
the truth is that we will not live one this earth forever, and our lives
are far from perfect. In considering God’s desire for your life please
understand these simple truths.
- God loves you more than you love yourself. He said so in His word,
the Bible, when you read John 3:16.
- We are very much different than God is. He is completely holy and
many times we are very unholy. He sees all the things in our lives that
we try to hide from each other. And He lives in Heaven while we live
here on earth. Thus the greatest difference between God and us is that
we have sin and He is sinless.
- God had a solution for the sin in our lives; this solution was to
have someone who was sinless to pay the price for our sin. This person
is Jesus Christ. In the Bible we read, “But God demonstrated His love
for us in that while we yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
- God’s desire for our lives is that we would become part of His
family. The Bible says, “As many as believe on Him, to them He gave
the right to be called children of God.” John 1:12
- Where does that leave us today? The solution for discovering God’s
desire for our lives is this:
- Believe that Jesus died for you and loves you today.
- Believe that there is sin in your life that has separated you from
God’s holiness.
- Believe that there is nothing you can do to earn eternal life.
- Decide that today you are going to change this situation and live
differently.
- Pray and tell Jesus, in your own words, that you are sorry for your
sin, and ask Him to come into your life to be your own personal savior.
- Have the assurance that once you have placed your trust in Jesus, you
are His forever.
If all, or even some of these words describe your life, then today
you need to tell someone about the decision you have made to follow
Jesus. You probably know someone where you work, a neighbor, or even
another family member, who already knows Jesus in his or her life. Go
and talk to them and ask them to help you grow as a follower of Jesus.
Also would you please write us and tell us the good news, so we can pray
for you, and rejoice with you.
God Bless you,
Rich & Jody
