Praying
Family,
Thank you for your faithful prayers for Team Tequis and our people
group in Querétaro, Mexico. Jody and I had an opportunity to visit our
children and grandchildren in the states last month. It had been almost
two years since we had seen them and we are thankful for the time spent in
the US. But we are back and refreshed and ready to push forward in
planting house churches in our state.
This past week we were working on a promotional video project with a
couple from central Indiana. It is our desire that we can use this
video/CD to promote prayer advocacy in your churches, prayer groups, and
home bible studies. It will take some time and a lot of resources to see
this project finished, but please pray for David and Carrie Roach
who have donated their time and resources to make this promotional CD come
to life. Also please pray for the hearts of the viewers in the USA
who will see the great need in Querétaro and make commitments to see
Jesus presented to our people group.
I would like to give you an update on the work that has been done over
the last several months and the challenge of the follow-up that is
ongoing.
In the communities of Pedregozo and Mexico there are three new bible
studies going as a result of gospel saturation teams who worked these
areas. Please pray for Hermalinda, Perla, and Rosa as they lead bible
studies in this community.
In the community of San Pedro Ahuacatlan we worked there for two days
until the community became uneasy with our presence. Since this time we
have established another contact in this community who we believe to be
our man of peace and we will be training her to reach her people. Please
pray for San Pedro and the hostile attitude of the community leaders
toward the gospel.
In the community of La Fuente we returned this week to
"water" some of the seeds that have been planted there in the
last three months. A young man there named Eric is a young Christian. He
is coming under heave persecution in the house of his mother-in-law for
his beliefs. This week when were were teaching him we had to move to a
location away from his home as his mother-in-law was furious with us
visiting him in from of her house. Please pray for Eric, this
persecution is very real and very severe for a young Christian to endure. When
his family is around us it is almost as if we were in the present of a
devil.
In the community of Las Agulas we have attempted twice to project the
Jesus Film and both times we have been stopped, once by heavy rain and
once by equipment failure. But this last time we worked there we made
contact with another person who is ready to open up their home to a bible
study and Lalo is preparing someone to teach in this home. Please pray for
Las Agulas and the contacts we have there. Please pray a house church
will be established soon in this community.
Please pray for a new bible study that Jody and I have in San Juan
del Rio as we introduce 40 Days of Purpose to our people. Please pray for
team members Lalo & Lety, Antonio & Antonia, and Perla & Luis.
Luis is a new believer who is on fire for Jesus and we are excited to have
him on our team.
Also praying family we are thankful for the opportunity to establish a
close working partnership with our home state of Indiana. Please pray
for this partnership as we both desire to see a house church planting
movement established in Querétaro.
This past week we were privileged to have Garry & Lori Jones here
with us in Querétaro as they were locating a house to move into very soon
and begin their ministry in the city of Querétaro. Please pray for
Garry and Lori as they finish their language studies and move from
Guadalajara to Querétaro.
Thank you again for praying faithfully for the people of Querétaro.
Please share this prayer letter with your Sunday School class and prayer
groups and pray earnestly for these requests. Thank you for your faithful
giving to the Co-operative Program and Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. For
all of our praying partners in Great Commission Churches all over the USA
we thank you for your prayers, gifts and letters to Team Tequis.
God bless,
Bro. Rich & Miss Jody
