Dear Praying family,
Thank you for your faithful prayers during the last two months. We have
been very busy and we have seen the hand of the Lord moving in our people
group. The Lord has been exceptionally good to us also, blessing us in
many different ways.
The house church in San Juan del Rio is moving ahead. We have
had as many as 26 people in this house church and as few as 8 people. Last
week the Lord sent back a young lady named Ilena whom Jody had led to the
Lord three months ago. Ilena did not return for a long time and we began
to lose hope in her, but last week she returned and we went through
several scriptures with her detailing the security of her salvation.
Please continue to pray for Ilena and her spiritual growth. Antonio
has begun her on a discipleship plan to teach her from God's word.
Several of you have been praying for the municipality of Amealco.
Last week we went back to Amealco because of the intense interest the
people there have shown us in the area of house churches. We located
Miguel and he had been speaking to one of his employees named Diego about
the bible and prophesy. We had the opportunity to share the Word of God
with Diego and plant a seed in his heart. Another contact we have been
looking for in this community is named Lorenzo. He, we believe, is our man
of peace for this area. We did not find him on this trip but we will
continue looking for him. We also have met a new family from this area
Abel & Mora. They have been praying for a church to come to their
community. Several requests: 1) Please pray, or continue praying, for
Miguel and Dresa. 2) Please pray for Diego that the Word would penetrate
his lost heart. 3) Please ask the Lord to lead us back to Lorenzo. This
young man will be the pastor of our house church in Amealco. 4) Please
pray for Abel & Mora, we are attempting to use their home for a house
church. So those of you, who last November agreed to pray for Amealco,
thank you and please keep praying.
Iglesia Bautista Bet-él in Satelite, Querétaro. During February
and March we joined this church in an outreach event in communities near
their church. Garry & Lori Jones worked with us and also Pastor Moises
Adame Lopez. A group from Indiana saturated these communities with the
Gospel o John. We showed the Jesus film in five different communities
also. The church, Bet-él, had workers with us each day and at the end of
the week the volunteers and church members had distributed about 1470
gospels. 69 people made first time professions of faith. Countless
children also indicated their desire to know more and the church will
visit these homes. One man in particular who viewed the Jesus film
approached us after the film and asked us to please come to his home
quickly and explain the movie to him and his family. Pastor Moises has now
made a visit to this man's home. 1.) Please pray for the people who
made decisions. 2) Please pray for Moises and his church family. 3) Please
pray for the nearly 1500 gospels that were placed and that they will be
opened and read.
The building up of the believers. During the third week of March
two men from Indiana joined us in the rural and urban fields. These men
conducted conferences and spoke a total of 15 times in five different
churches. Also these men had opportunities to share their testimony with
lost people in several areas. Please pray for the believers who heard
these messages that they will act on what the Bible has taught them.
Please pray for church leaders, Jorge Garay, Manuel Frias, Liborio
Ballesteros, and Moises Adame. Please pray for house church leader Antonio
Gonzales and also the Jerusalen church in San Juan del Rio which is
pastorless.
Again thank you for your faithful prayers. Please have a blessed Easter
celebrating the Risen Savior. Please write, we enjoy hearing from you.
Bro. Rich and Miss Jody
