Dear Prayer Partners,
May God bless you as you serve Him and live in His glorious presence.
Thank you for your prayers for our people group. The rural people of
Querétaro, Mexico are in desperate need of a relationship with Jesus. Your
prayers make a difference in the communities where we are ministering.
A couple updates on items you have been praying for. The community of
Independencia has been renamed, by the local government, to Aquiles Serdan.
We shared with you about an event we held there with a hair cutting clinic
and such. We have been there for six consecutive Sunday nights now and the
group is doing well. There are still a lot of unbelievers in the community
and some are attending our house church please continue to pray for
those who have not made a decision to follow Jesus in this community.
One young man of 16 years is in crisis with his parents and we are trying
to intervene with the Gospel in this home. Please pray for José Jesus
that the Holy Spirit World capture his attention. Also we asked you to
pray for Alma a young lady who had been the catechist in this community.
Alma was saved and continues to grow. She was in a daily battle with her
mother and this past week her testimony was that Jesus had brought peace
to her home. Alma’s mother Rosi was also saved and now we give thanks to
the Lord for this mother and daughter who are children of God. We ask
that you pray for Rosi’s husband as he will be returning here to
Mexico in December from Los Angeles where he works 11 months of each year.
Honestly I have forgotten his first name but the Lord knows so please
pray that he would also come to know Jesus while back here in Mexico.
- Please pay for Cristian a young man of 24 years who attends our
house church in San Juan del Rio. Cristian has been struggling in
his walk as a believer and for the last two weeks has not attended the
house church. We have an appointment to visit with him this Tuesday
(Sept 27th).
- Please continue to pray fro Sergio as he continues to grow in his
new faith in Jesus. His parents have informed him that if he
continues to follow the evangelical missionaries that he will need a
place to live when he turns 18 this upcoming January. We have encouraged
him to remain faithful to Christ.
- Please pray for Elena, a young lady Jody led to the Lord several
months ago. She has remained faithful and is being discipled
currently. This past week we put Elena on our New Testament bible
reading program and last night in house church she gave testimony of how
the Lord had answered several questions this past week through His word.
- Please pray for a group of volunteer missionaries arriving here
in a little over a week from Beacon Baptist Church in Shelbyville,
Indiana. They will be making house visits and also preaching and
teaching in San Juan del Rio. In addition to this the group will be
prayerwalking in a new community.
- Please pray for a middle aged man named Juan who is a friend of
team member Antonio. Juan came to house church last week and was
saved. We give thanks for this but Juan was not with us in house church
last night so we need to find him.
In closing please remember to pray for the Lost Sheep of Querétaro,
Mexico. If the Lord returns tonight 98.6% (almost 2 million) of our
people will go to hell. This is unacceptable and we ask you to intercede
for our people group.
We love you and thank you for your prayers. Thank you also for giving
to mission causes directly, and through your local churches.
God bless,
Rich & Jody
