October 2005
Dear Prayer Partners,
Thank you for the prayers that you prayed last month for our people
group. I am a couple days late getting this prayer update to you because
of the busy schedule we had late in October. The Lord has been very good
to us and to our people group. There were two different times last month
when sickness slowed us down but the Lord did not slow down.
In response to the prayer requests last month I want to share these
updates.
- The time of renewal that we asked you to pray for with our
leaders and pastors went well. There were five of us who met late
October and each of us shared how much we wanted to see the Lord
work through us in a more intimate way. Please continue to pray
for renewal among the leaders, pastors, and church planters in urban
and rural Querétaro.
- The house church in Aquiles Serdan is progressing.
Specifically I need you to pray for the six faithful people who
attend. We presented the discipleship lesson on baptism last
week and we do want to baptize those who have made their decision
for Jesus as their only savior.
- We have four people who will be baptized this next week from the
San Juan house church. Elena, Lupita, Jackie, and Sergio. Please
pray for their continued spiritual growth.
Also the Lord brought a new lady and her two children to San Juan
house church during October. Please pray for Carmen, Silvia, and Hugo
as they do not yet know Jesus as their only savior. Also a man
named Juan who I had you praying for is still in need of prayer. He
made a decision for Jesus but we have not been able to locate him again.
We thank the Lord for the group from Beacon Baptist church that
served with us during October. The testimonies of volunteers who serve
in Querétaro have a deep impact on our people group. A lot of the plans
we had arranged for this group did not work out and it was frustrating
on our part, but the Lord was good to us and Jody led three young girls
to the Lord after a movie in Aquiles Serdan.
Please continue to pray. I know with all that has been going
on in the states with hurricanes and storms and sickness that Mexico is
sometimes forgotten. But your prayers are making an eternal difference
in our people group. Thank you for your faithful giving and support of
international missions.
God bless,
Rich & Jody
