January 2006
Dear praying family,
Thank you for your faithful prayers for the Lost Sheep of Querétaro.
We are grateful every day for those of you who pause to intercede for
our people group. Without your prayers we would not be able to live and
work in a culture dominated by cultural Catholicism.
We hope all of you had a blessed Christmas and the Lord’s blessings
are before you daily.
The events of December yielded good fruit for our team. We held an
evangelism event in the community of Aquiles Serdan. We are currently
doing the follow-up with the desire of starting a second house church
location in this community. We had a group of young adults from the Word
of Life camp helping us in this community. Twenty five first time
decisions were recorded and several people expressed interest in our
house church. A new person, named Emma, has joined the house church in
Aquiles and has been a blessing to our group. We are planning another
baptismal service for this community. Please pray for the candidates
for baptism. They are Ismael and his wife Julia and daughter Sesi,
Francisca our person of peace, Julio and his wife Margarita, Emma, Rosie
and her daughter Betty. These are precious new believers and we are
excited about their new faith in Christ.
Please pray for a new prayer/church planting strategy that we
are trying to promote across our state. We have seen the hand of the
Lord moving in our people group and now we are anxious to see the work
grow with the help of some of our Baptist brothers from the city of
Querétaro.
Please also pray for Jody and me as we are packing our “stuff”
and moving into a house closer to San Juan del Rio. The Lord provided a
good location for us, close to our current house church locations. Also
please pray for wisdom in finishing the church planting manual
that we developed to train nationals in church planting practices.
Please pray for Antonio and Antonia Gonzalez our national partners
as we work together every day. Please pray for Cristian Urquiza and
Elena Vazquez who have joined our team and will be opening a house
church on avenida Morelos in San Juan.
Thank you again for your faithful prayers. We love you.
God bless,
Rich & Jody
