February 2006
Dear prayer partners,
God bless you in all aspects of your life. Jody and I pray that you
are living your faith daily.
I have several things to share with you this month. First let me tell
you what the Lord has done in the lives of Janet and Sergio. Many of you
who have visited our field know Janet. I am thankful for her life and
her witness. When Janet finishes High school this year she will go into
the Word of Life discipleship school in Bernal for one year. Sergio is
an 18 year old new believer who was baptized in November. Now as a
senior in High School he is preparing to graduate this May. The dilemma
Sergio faces is that the Lord is calling him into some form, or field,
of service. Sergio has also decided to attend the Word of Life
discipleship school for one year after completing high school. This all
sounds great except for Sergio’s parents are not in favor of this. They
want Sergio to go to college and study to be an electronics engineer.
Very few of our people group have the opportunity to finish high school
let alone go on to the university. Sergio is making a very big sacrifice
to obey the Lord’s calling. Would you pray specifically for Sergio?
Ask the Holy Spirit to touch the hearts of Sergio’s lost parents that
they too may be saved. And also please pray that all obstacles are
removed for Sergio to attend the Word of Life school.
Also as a praise we have finally completed our move to San Juan del
Rio. It has been a difficult time to keep the ministries moving ahead
and also prepare the house to move into. I am thankful for national
brothers who gathered around us and helped us move and do the repairs on
our house so we could move into it. For those of you who write to us via
postal service mail please now use this address:

Remember is normally takes about three weeks for letters to arrive.
Aquiles Serdan house church is growing. Last week we had 28 for our
Wednesday night house church in this community. The house church in
Antonio’s house has also been averaging over 25 people for a time. Both
of these new churches need to start a new church from their group. Both
groups are reluctant as they enjoy the close fellowship but it is
necessary if we are going to win this area for Jesus that these works
multiply. Please pray for Brother Aurelio Corona as we are preparing
to open a house church in his home. Brother Aurelio was pastoring a
conventional church last year but the Lord is now calling him to
missionary work.
Please pray for a group of volunteers from Indiana who will be
with us in about a week to work in some unreached areas. Dan Flowers is
the team leader of this group. Please pray for safety, boldness, and
wisdom for this group. Other Indiana groups will minister with us in
March and April. Also some good news from the Jerusalén Baptist Church
in San Juan del Rio they have called brother Martin Perez as their
pastor. This is a blessing for us and it also frees us up from some
commitments we had with this group. This church is busy preparing for a
July campaign with Texas Baptists to reach some of their targeted
communities.
Please remember new church starts that are in the planning for the
municipalities of Huimilpan, Corregidor, Amealco, and Cadaretya. Please
pray for the church planters who are involved in these areas. Ask the
Holy Spirit to reveal the Man of Peace in these communities.
On a final note I ask you to pray for my father Robert Fleming.
He spent a few days in the hospital last week and an aneurism was
discovered on his aorta. This presents a difficulty for the doctors to
repair because of its location. I am asking the Lord to repair the
aneurism by whatever means He would use for His glory. This is a very
special request for our family. Please pray.
God bless each of you. Thank you for praying for the Lost Sheep of
Querétaro.
Rich & Jody
