Dear Praying family,
Thank you for your faithful prayers for the lost peoples of
Querétaro, Mexico. It has been a very busy time in the work the Lord has
provided for us. We have seen a lot of people invite Jesus into their
hearts for the first time in their lives. The presence of the Holy
Spirit has solidified decisions and also He has strengthened us for the
journey.
In the community of Valle Dorado we have lost the family that we
first believed to be our person of peace in this community. Please
pray that God would provide someone quickly to re-start the house church
possibility in Valle Dorado.
In the community of Aquiles Serdan we have seen the house church
group grow both in faith and number. One interesting aspect of this
community is that the Catholic teachers have pulled out of this
community, which was a surprise to me, because of the number of families
now participating in our house church. Thank you for praying for
Aquiles Serdan and please continue to pray for this community.
In the community of Banthí (say ban-tee) we entered into this
community with the help of two special churches from East Texas and
prayer walked and saturated the community with the Gospel of John. About
900 gospels were planted in homes and 95 people prayed to invite Jesus
into their hearts. Please pray for the families in this community.
This community is a Catholic stronghold and we were denied permission to
work there by the community leaders. Banthí community leaders did not
know that we had already received permission by the Holy Spirit of God
to sow the Gospel Seed. Had we listened to the community leaders, the 95
people who became Christians would still be lost. Please continue to
pray for the community of Banthí. One of our house church leaders
from Aquiles Serdan passed through the community of Banthí to purchase
something from the community store and the store owner told her we were
in the community to gain their confidence and then rob them. Our house
church member told the lady that we were in the community to transform
the community and not rob the people who lived there. I am still amazed
at the ways the Catholic Church sows lies to deceive their own people
and prevent the living Word of God from doing its work. Please pray
for the community of Banthí. Please also pray for the Jerusalén Baptist
Church as they are responsible for the follow-up and starting house
churches in Banthí.
The house church in central San Juan in Antonio’s house is still
growing and continues to be the hub for new starts in San Juan. Thank
you for praying for Antonio with his battle against diabetes. Antonio is
controlling his blood sugar levels with diet and exercise. Also from
this house church we will lose two members next month as Janet and
Sergio will be enrolling in the Palabra de Vida missionary training
school. I am excited to see their obedience in following Jesus.
Please continue to pray for Janet and Sergio.
Since our last prayer letter with you we had an opportunity to visit
with our family in Indiana and Pennsylvania. Jody’s parents made a trip
from Florida to visit with us in Pennsylvania. I am thankful for the
time we shared with our families in the US. I am also thankful for all
the safety the Lord provided for us in travel. A faithful brother from
Harvest Baptist Church in Indiana provided us with a vehicle to drive
and Family members housed us for two weeks. We had three speaking
opportunities in churches and it was very good to see all the stateside
Christians who pray for us and support us in their churches. Also I am
thankful to the Eastlake Baptist Church in NW Indiana who helps us buy
gospels of John each month to use in communities like Banthí. A special
thank you to two Texas churches, First Baptist Church of Crockett, and
Calvary Trinity, as they supplied us with 7000 gospels of John this
month. We also partner with a Great Commission Church in New Castle
Pennsylvania. The Church of Genesis helps us buy Gospels of John every
month faithfully.
Thank you for your faithful giving to International missions through
your local church. Thank you for your faithful prayers and please
continue to pray daily for the people of Queretaro.
God Bless,
Rich & Jody
