Dear Praying Family,
Thank you for the many times that you prayed for the lost sheep of
Queretaro, Mexico this past month. Let me thank you in advance for your
prayers for March also. The Lord has moved in great ways this past month
and I want to share with you the advances in rural Queretaro.
Iglesia Bautista La Roca Fiel in Antonio’s house continues to grow.
Jody led a 17 year old lady to the Lord this month in La Roca. Please
pray for Mari Cruz as she is discipled and baptized this month. Mari
Cruz brought her husband Eduardo to the next service and he renewed his
faith in Jesus as he had invited Jesus into his heart a few years ago.
The two of them will be baptized together. Juana Lilia one of our church
planters who attends La Roca brought her husband to our service. Miguel,
who is lost and you have been praying for Miguel for a couple months, is
ready to invite Jesus into his heart also. All three of these new people
have uphill battles to fight when they make their faith public.
Please pray for Mari Cruz, Eduardo, and Miguel.
Iglesia Cristiana Aquiles Serdan was failing and the adults from the
community were not attending for a couple months. We had no idea what
was happening and invited a volunteer team to prayer walk the community.
This past week there were 32 people present at this house church and two
adults invited Jesus into their lives. Please pray for Ema and a
younger lady named Enderina as they grow in the Lord and are
baptized.
Iglesia Cristiana Independencia is growing but it is off to kind of a
slow start. Vicente and Hermelinda oversee this work which meets every
Sunday night. Please pray for Lupita & Pedro as they are being
discipled and also their neighbors who are cautiously watching and
occasionally attending with us.
Vicente and Hermelinda also started a church in their house which
meets on Friday nights. It hasn’t been named yet but please pray for
this new church and also for Hermelinda as she reaches out to her
neighbors to attend the Friday night service. Vicente and Hermelinda
also started a new church in formation in the community of Banthí there
are four adults attending and five or six children. This new group was
hard to get started as the community has asked us to leave in the past.
But with the efforts of a group from Texas last summer a lot of prayer
and sowing of the gospel seed took place and now there is finally a
church being birthed. This group meets on Saturday afternoons. Please
pray for the four new believers in Banthí as they are discipled and
baptized.
Thursday nights we opened a new church in formation in the Central
area of San Juan with a lady named Imelda. Imelda and her son host the
church and she has been inviting her friends to come and study the Bible
with us. We have not seen any decisions in this group yet so please
bathe it with a lot of prayer.
Lalo & Lety started a new house church in their house that meets on
Sunday nights. We do not get to attend much with them because of other
Sunday night commitments but the first night there were two people saved
from their community. This is a community that we saturated with the
gospel of John almost 4 years ago and also we presented the Jesus film
in this community. The neighbors in this community told us originally
they did not need any Christians around them but I believe the Lord had
other plans for Pedregozo; we just had to wait for His timing. Continue
to pray for the community of Pedregozo and Lalo & Lety as they
witness in their community.
Please pray for the works we have listed here. There is one other
location we want to get opened up in March in Juana Lilia’s house and we
need you to pray for this work also.
Also please pray for Jody and me as we prepare to migrate to the
states for a furlough time. We will be away from our people from
April to January but Antonio and Antonia are primed and ready to advance
the work in our absence. Our next prayer letter will be from Indiana.
God bless,
Rich & Jody
